Lab-Grown Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds feature across our full range, from engagement rings and wedding bands to earrings, pendants, and more. Every lab-grown diamond at Paragon Diamonds is IGI-certified, graded across the Four Cs of cut, colour, clarity, and carat, and laser-inscribed with its unique report number.

What Are Lab-Grown Diamonds?

A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond, grown above ground using technology that replicates the natural process of diamond formation. It is physically and chemically identical to a mined diamond. The only difference is origin: one forms underground over billions of years, the other forms in a controlled environment over a matter of weeks.

How Are Lab-Grown Diamonds Made?

Lab-grown diamonds are created in a laboratory using one of two methods: High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD). A diamond seed grows into a rough crystal over several weeks, forming a stone with the same physical and chemical properties as one formed underground. At Paragon Diamonds, every lab-grown diamond is graded to the Four Cs and IGI-certified.

About IGI Certification

Every lab-grown diamond we sell carries an IGI certificate. IGI was the first gemological institute to offer comprehensive grading for lab-grown diamonds and remains the leading certification body in the category. Each report confirms the stone's grading across the Four Cs, cut, colour, clarity, and carat, using the same internationally recognised scale applied to natural diamonds.
